BY THE SEA
I gave her a goodbye hug
And she began to massage me
She got my attention
Just like she always does
With her repetitive motions
Of knowledge
Her seasoned hands
Of experience
I thought about
Her mother’s suspicious eyes
I thought about giggling children
I thought about her advice
Against to much salt
And I looked
At the water
To see if I could
Spot any fish
