CHRISTMAS EVE


It had a rainbow
Like when God stopped
Drenching humanity

We entered
And one of the kids said
Thank you for the bicycles papa
& his brother said
Thank Saint Nicholas

The owner
Who was talking on the phone
Had a change in his voice

But Christmas is an event
Of gifts & happiness
Of good will & good faith

Papa?
Yes son?
We did you bought us bicycles?
For exercise son

These are better
Then video games

The owner got up
From his seat
And turned the heater on

This I know
Let the children play
With the bicycles
Of the world
